ATI 256mb HD3850 play crysis?

If yes what settings?

Also will it play Call of Duty 4?

If yes what settings?

Has anyone had any experience with the HD3850 and is it any good?

It can definately play crysis, but I'm not exactly sure what settings. I'd assume high, with little to no AA. But there's so much tweaking you can do to crysis that even on medium you can make it look really good.

And it'll max out cod4 at any resolution with the highest AA

I suspect textures at medium due to the low memory.

If i remember right it plays on high with around 30 fps.You can alkways overclock those little monsters to.

Wicked...coz im either getting a hd3870 or a hd3850....so i posted this topic just incase i went for the 3850...im assuming because of more memory the 3870 would play crysis on highish?

Also what if i could get a hd3850 with 512mb memory?

256mb = low resolution and low-medium textures

512mb = higher resolutions and high textures

yes, the 3870 is better than the 3850, but NEVER base it on the price.

and there are other factors that make the 3870 better, like its clock speeds
