hey guys, got my new pc all up and running etc and it is great. but i can't seem to get my microphone to work, i've tried different head sets and both are the same. I can't see any reason why, they don't appear to be on mute etc in the generic volume.

in the mixer, Options > Advanced Options, click Advanced under the Mic and enable the booster.
have you got the plugs in the right place? -

Yea got it all sorted now, had to faff around for ages, but the quality is really bad, may have to get myself a new sound card.Comment

Well i used to use a £7 mic and usually had the best quality out of everyone, this mic cost me £50, but neither this or the other mic works well. O well lolComment

Your mic may suck and your sound card may fail, but you've always got Elisha in the signature so things cant be that bad.Comment
