is it possible to run two different types of ram together? at the shop i'm getting my pc from they have a special on 2gb apacer $49.50. but, i want 3gigs so could i run these two together?

also, this will be the other ram im getting if i cannot run the apacer with the corsair

You can run the Corsair DDR2 1GB PC-5300/667 together with the Corsair DDR2 2GB PC-5300/667. Just make sure you put them in different slot alignments (make sure they are in the slots that aren't the same color). But that is only if it is the same kind of ram that you have right now. The easiest way to do that (find what kind of ram you have now) is unplug your computer and look. The reason you do this is because if you have a different kind then you just wasted that much money because it wont work with your comp.
