hd 3870

hi posted a few other threads today last one - i have just looked on the website i am getting my pc from and saw a gigabyte 3870. is this better than a xfx 8800gt? 3870 is ddr4 and 50 cents cheaper lol

what about this setup with 2 asus 8600gt ddr3 at $138 in sli . this is cheaper and double the ram but would the graphics be better than the 3870 or 8800gt?

The best you can get is the 8800gt.. The 2 8600gt's in sli would not even be close to as powerful.. as for the amd 3870, It may be close to as powerful as the 8800gt but i would not take the chance with it when the 8800gt is more powerful and run cooler.. amd has messed up alot with there new gpu's I used to be ati all the way but every since the 8800's I have stuck with Nvidia.. if amd come's out with somthing more powerful i will go back but it does not seem like it will happen anytime soon..
