should i overclock my CPU if so whats the best way to do it, never OC'd a processor before just GPU, and if i do OC it will it be stable or crash and how high can i get it

This wont help much your need to wait to the real techies come in!
All core 2 duo's OC very well, reason being that they run very cool!
I have heard that my E6750 could run 4Ghz, so your CPU could run 2.7 - 3.5Ghz!

If you are comfy about doing the oc then go for it.
Get
- Intel Thermal Analysis Tool.
- Cpu-Z
And read from the net for instructions. There are plenty to choose from.
I would settle first for some ~3Ghz since FSB1066 processors generally start to need more volts to creep past this mark and since this is your first CPU OC I would play it safe for now and get to know the stuff. Plus this won't push your heat limit too high yet leading to a more stable system.Comment
