    just got my new rig together, was on a budget but i think i did ok


    Old RIG

    Gateway
    3800 AMD 64x
    350 watt supply
    Nvidia 7300GS
    1024 ram

    NEW RIG

    E6550 3.0
    Antec 900 Case
    P5K Premium Black Pearl
    OCZ 2048 (800)
    500 Watt PSU
    8800 GT (possibly SLI soon)
    250 gig Hard drive

    I think you are going to want a bigger psu if you go sli.
    just sayin.

      nice you rly needed the upgrade. no need to sli.. it will do more bad then good in most game's.. you might wanna think about getting a better psu maby a 700 watt

        Yea, PSU would be the only thing i would say needs changing. A 600W model ought to do you proud. But good choice on the other parts!

              yea i was just thinking about sticking with one GPU dont really have the money for a second but im gettin a 1000 watt soon

                1000W is complete overkill. Anything over 800W is overkill....

                  so u think 700 will do? i did some web work for a friend beings i just got out of the military so i may upgrade to the GTX but PC club said i can sli this board with nvidia products but other peeps say i cant dont really want to sli but was curious

                  total rig cost was about 650 because i did web site work for friends and got some stuff free

                    700W is more than enough even for a SLI to any foreseeable future so it can deliver long time if the PSU will be a quality one.

                            Still I say that buying now a 520W is a waste of money (unless you are really on a tight budget here). Just throw in extra 40 bucks and you'll have a good one.
