New MSN Messenger Trojan Spreading Quickly

For anyone who uses MSN, heads up on this. I had the file sent to me but knew it looked odd when it was named as a picture file but with .exe on it.

Be extra safe on your file transfers and make sure you have who ever is sending you a file acknowledge they are sending a file. The user does not know if its being sent or not.

Ha, already had it. My mates MSN sent me a thing saying "check out these photos i'm about to put on Facebook", so i did. Luckily, after extracting the rar, my firewall, anti virus and anti spamware went nuts, and so whilst i was infected, so no data was sent back to the server.

Yea, i got infected off the same person as Alex. AVG hoovered it up though.

i got a similar one that was a 50kb zip, accepted anyways and Avast got it straight away, i only really downloaded ti to check that avast actually worked because i hadn't had any notifications of me getting a virus so i wasn't sure lol
