so I'm thinking my next upgrade ought to be a 22" widescreen monitor. anyone have any practical experience w/a 22" + x1950xt/x1900-ish or even an 8800gts (about 15-20% faster). I'm thinking I'll either have to dial down the eyecandy to push that many pixels in newer games, but I'm not sure exactly how much eye-candy I'm willing to sacrifice for screen real-estate.
games I play are BF2, LOTRO, Oblivion (think I'll def take a hit here)...and considering getting one of the newer fps (ET:QW?<--enjoyed the demo, found playstyle a bit too fast), but not Crysis.
edit: other options i've thought about are an hd3870/8800gt, a newer mobo + 2gb ram (newegg has patriot 2x1gb sticks for $44 after rebate, but I can't push them to the spec'd voltage
), etc.
