Laptop shopping

For christmas, my family had entrusted me with the task of finding a laptop for my sister to play the Sims 2 on (LOL) as im always on the PC. Even though this game doesnt require much boot, Id still like it to be of a decent spec (1gb ram atleast, OK gfx card).Screen should be 14"< Battery isnt really an issue, and i dont think my parents are willing to spend more that £375 (400 max)


I found a laptop in a magazine-

That costs 400 pounds, I know this inst the best offer but it seems like a good starting point, help plz?

Well, Firstly , From reading the above, i consider you pay attention to the specifications on the back on the dust bin , as some council dust bins will not even consider holding sims 2.

Seriously though, dont bother with corporate companies such as PC world or DELL, I would go with something with an Intel Duo Core processor, you can pick up a system quite cheap these days with that. Most systems are sold with Vista, vista is kinda greedy on Ram so you may want to go over 1gb. Gladiator Computers got some decent laptop, that link goes directly to their home entertainment range . Prices are pretty steep though.

And all the computers there are fully tested and guaranteed under warranty for a year. It would seem silly not to use them...
