Gamepad or joystick

What are the best options in gamepads and joysticks ?
I just started playing BF2 and I am having a big trouble to to learn how to fly using the keyboard and mouse.

that logitech should be pretty good. I use a saitek cyborg evo which works well too. joystick is really fun for planes, but for choppers try learning using mouse/keyboard.

Ive never heard of anyone using a gamepad before in bf2. I think if you did use one you would have to use joy2key to bind keyboard keys to the gamepad buttons/arrow.

If there is a suitable gamepad I would like to hear.
I think gamepads are more comfortable to play....
