The Hitachi GST drives are good. Also newer Seagate Barracudas.
Look at this chart.

Re: Best Video Card For 300NZD And Best HD
How about none of the above.
1. More ram is always a good thing and for BF2 1GB is the minimum. Assuming your current ram is PC2100/2700/3200, buying more now is for the most part a waste of money as PC2100/2700/3200 (DDR) is slowly being phased out in favor of DDR2 (and the recently released DDR3).1. 1gb Ram
2. Seagate 80gb HD
3. ATI RADEN 9600
2. Unless your current hard drive is a 5400 rpm model (doubtful), then you will see minimal (very minimal) gains from a new hard drive.
3. If memory servers the 9600 only came in AGP, and you linked to PCI and PCI-E cards. The only time you would ever buy a PCI video card is if the motherboard doesn't have either an AGP os PCI-E slot, or even to use as a secondary card (helpful in SLI configs to run dual monitors).
Taking all of the above into consideration your best bet would be to save up and ewither build or buy a new computer.Comment

Seagate 80gb
like stormy said ^ you've most likely got an agp. to add to that, you need to be sure you've got a SATA port before you buy a SATA drive. There are MANY socket 478 chipsets that pre-date or just don't have SATA ports.Comment
