    Quick question

    Hi guys!

Well, I live in Argentina, which is not exactly like USA. No shop sells a 8800 here, so a couple months ago I bought a FX5500, and I can run the gave at effects and textures at high, and I get an average of 20-30 fps.

    My specs:

    -AMD 64 3200+ @ 2.2GHZ
-512 ram memory (Buying 512 more soon)
    -The fx5500 @ 256mb
    -Win XP home SP2
    -and a 17'' monitor.

Yep, I don't exactly have a big budget. I would love to play the game w/ AA or lighting at medium or high. Does anyone know of a vid card on which I would be able to play w/ 60 fps? I currently play at 800 x 600. ( Yeah, it sucks  )

I would recommend the 7600gt or X1950 (better, but more &#163, but without 2gb of memory, you will not be able to play at high graphics.

yeah ram and video cards are pretty much the same priority. u cant have high graphics settings without getting at least a gig of ram and having 2 gigs will be even better (highly recommeneded)

don't know much about SA technology markets. if your system is agp and if you can find a cheap 6800gt or x850xt for a decent price, then that will make you pretty happy, too.

x1950 pro, 7800gs, and 7600gs are good cards too, for agp, in that order, but x850xt and 6800gt are better than 7600gs for most applications owing to 256-bit memory interface and generally faster ram.

if you've got a pci-e card, then x1950pro is definitely the best way to go, depending on local pricing.
