Okay...I was messing around and built this...this would be nice...maybe it will drop a lil bit by the time its time to buy a computer...

I would get a new heatsink / fan for the proc and aanother 120mm fan for case...but yeah...this is basic.

I also need help with the PSU...not too sure about those. XD

sempy's were very, VERY good processors.

great use of energy/cycles/performance.

1 gig isn't bad, either.

6200 is the only thing holding you back from a good (not ooooooober-great, but GOOD) gaming experience.

may want to think about plugging in a new gpu. 7600gt's are fairly psu indiscriminate, and will deliver med/high range settings in bf2.

up to you. offer advice anytime: post budget, specs, and expectations. :)

yeah...but i have a slim case...therefore i need a half length card...which is very hard to find...so far.

yeah...but i have a slim case...therefore i need a half length card...which is very hard to find...so far.

errgh. "slim" + "gaming" = very not so great. you absolutely HAVE to have at least enough room for a standard single-slot gpu for a decent gaming experience. you can get by with less and have fun (civ 4, age of wonders) but you're going to have severe, bad, terrible, awful, (did i mention bad) problems w/3d gaming like bf2 with an integradted/slim solution?

edit have to have a look at 2600xt/2400 (series).../nVidia's options. maybe they offer half-height cards. ????

yeah, that is exactly why I am getting a new rig, and just not upgrading this one...

what do you think of the 1200 rig?

no need for 4gb of ram unless your planning on using Vista 64bit,
