Cleaning LCD monitors :confused:

Hey all, Well im using a LG 21 inch 5k:1 LCD..and its needs a cleaning..Im wondering what to use on it..Such as a damp cloth..or something like a clorox wipe type of thing?

I heard a damp cloth works, but if you have real heavy crap on it (like when i had an orange fight in my room with a mate), you will need special wipes. Go to your local PC hardware shop and ask.

I used to use a wipe and spray (both specifically for LCD monitors) but it used to leave visible wipe marks, so now I just use a sponge with all the water squeezed out. It doesn't leave any marks and cleans it quite nicely.

damp cloth is fine i think. turn ur monitor off first b4 u start wiping

Damp lint free cloth, Also give a few blasts in the vents with compressed air.

You can get a spray & squeegee kit for LCD's, works a tread, no spears, check you local pc store for them, the wipes are useless... (PC World in the UK/IRE have them)

you walk into best buy and you go to the computer section and look for "Monitor Wipes" It either comes with Dust off or you can get it solo. it's only $10. get yer hands on it. doesn't matter what kind of LCD monitor you have. Pick up monitor wipes.
