    NeoHE 550 Watt

Thats the power supply I have by Antec.

    Core 2 Duo E6600
    2 Gigs DDR2
    2 CD DVD/RW drives
    3 7200 rpm HDs
    X-fi ExtremeMusic
    Hauppage TV Tuner card
    2 x eVGA 7950GTs
    P6N Plat mobo.

... now, I thought this was enough power to supply all of this equipment. Maybe I was wrong, just looking for a second opinion.

I have the neo550 in my new computer, and its fine, but for you it might not be enough since you are running SLI + 3 drives and 2 opticals. I would try to find out what kind of power a 7950GT draws.

also depends on whether your overclocking and by how much.

bottom line, i highly, highly, highly doubt you're anywhere close to overloading your psu, unless you're going freaking nuts on the o'c.

^7950gt in sli, with an x6800 chip@full load doesn't dissipate more than 280W.

well thats what I thought, and when your running full power to the sli cards (BF2), its not like you're going to be using the tv tuner card, defragging a drive, and writing a cd now is it? lol

that was a good test, thanks for finding that. I also use a psu calculator thats saying I should be hitting around 410 watts max. That puts me at just below 75% use.

Use this link to check your power supply. Just put the details into the table and it will calculate what wattage your power supply should have.
