    Really need help on mic

I installed PR mod and now I really need my mic to work.
    It goes like that :

Each time I formatted my comp, the following 4 or 5 days the mic worked perfectly.. but one day, it just stopped working like that, for no reasons. I tried reinstalling the drivers, switched mics, went through all setting of windows, but nothing seens to solve the problem

The ONLY way to fix it is to reformat but as I said, it will only last a few days... any idea that could cause the prob ?

I really need to use my mic
    thx!

Re: Really need help on mic

Something funny happenes to me every now and then... For some reason in the volume cotrol panel located bottom right hand corner, the mic boost turns itself off. Happenes to my friends too. We'll be chit chat'en and next thing I know I'm saying hello?!

So I know you saying you checked everywhere but did you check that spot? Sometimes the gain turns itself off. Maybe your mic even muted itself.

Hey man! The place you pointed out led me to some settings I've never seen.
      (see pic)
When I check both 'boost' , it doesnt work.
When I check only 'mic2', it doesnt work.
When I check only 'mic boost), it works a little bit, ppl can 'hear' me, but I have to scream for them to barely hear me.

I bumped all mic volume, boost to maximum. In the Audio Wizard, I really have to speak loud to get into the yellow...
      What's wrong?

Oh and now, strange thing, my audio volume (the normal speak volume) goes down to half by itself... wth... I switch to maximum and minutes after it goes back to half... this is pissing me off man

Anyway thx for the help, any further advices would be appreciated
