Stop, close Dell. Look up Rock laptops. Excellent performance, cheaper prices. Then reply.

Thanks for the tip, but I can see Rock's laptops are about £200 more expensive for the same specs, usually with only 1gig of ram and slower and smaller hard drives................
what's wrong with Dell? I have a desktop dell, never had a problem with it. Anyway, if I were to buy that one do you think I'd get a decent bf2 performance out of it

How much is the Dell? I really can't see them being more expensive. They were cheaper and better in this months laptop reviews in Custom PC magazine.

We are talking UK here right?

Yes i'm in the UK. The dell i looked at is £860 and its Rock equivalent is just over £1000 so I don't see the justification for such a large price discrepancy, unless I'm missing something vital.

Wow, well it appears that is the best deal out there. Go for it then!

You might want to get the minimum RAM possible from Dell, and then just buy it seperately from another store. When I bought my desktop from Dell, I only got it with 1gig. If I wanted to add another gig, it would have cost $100. So I just bought 2GB locally for $50 (Canadian)

That is a good idea actually.
