    Update to my 4GB to 2GB Thread

    I posted here a couple of weeks ago a question whether doubling up my RAM would solve my cr@ppy BF2 performance. I've now installed a couple of extra dimms to go up to 4GB and... it is now much more fluid- probably now more so than when I was running XP x64.

    Ok- it's not all good news as now my soundcard is screaming static at me, but hell- it's Vista. Why should I expect a bed of roses?

      I had loud static problems with vista64 and my X-fi. I installed an older version of the X-fi drivers which solved the problem.

          dont expect ARMA to work with 4 gig ram.

          ive gone from 64 bit to 32 to fix stuff.but bf2 ran great on 64bit 4gb ram
