    It's good, definitely. Though there are now better quad cores.

          thats a crap Q6600. B3 stepping.

          You want G0.

          EDIT

          The reason you want G0 stepping is because it allowes you to OC more with less heat generating. So I guess if you absolutely plan to not OC it won't matter to you...

          As for mobo you can get a 680i over the 650i though i don't know what the difference is.

            the difference between 650i and 680i shows up in SLi performance and its only minimal. You can only get 8 pipes per card on the 650i or something along those lines. Seeing as thats not an SLI board, there wouldn't be a difference.
