Free Anti-Virus

Anyone know any good FREE anti-virus softwares? Maybe spyware also.. My crappy McAfee 30 day trial bullcorn is almost up [stupid] so I'm just looking for a RELIABLE and FREE anti-virus. I here that AVG thing is good. Any suggestions?:salute:

If you want free Anti virus software and what not, your best bet is download.com

I think you can DL the software you were referring to from there too though if you don't DL naughty things and visit naughty sites you shouldn't really need that stuff... I don't use it.

yes, comodo anti virus and firewall are 100% free, try them i use the :)

EDIT: DO NOT GO FOR AVG, this isnt personal preference me saying its rubbish, my mate had it, scanned no virus's. He got Mcafee, found loads of virus's. Seriously though get comodo, its great.

I agree with Avast. I use it and love it, no problems or viruses as of yet.

I use AVG anti-virus, and works perfectly.

Edit: Spybot S&D is a good anti-spyware program. http://www.safer-networking.org/

i've used the comodo av/fw, and it's a decent, free package. i did have some problems with their firewall blocking internet access (and i'm not exactly computer illiterate) that i ended up solving with a complete uninstall/reinstall.

now i use avast! + zonealarm now, and i use avg + zonealarm on my wife's laptop.

spybot search and destroy does as for me, i encourage you to donate a dollar or two to the guy who provides it if you use it!

Kaspersky anti virus ver 6 is g00d i had it for a year know and it eliminates viruses really quick and efficient! get it from 9 down.com here is the code to activate it but for version 6.0.1.346 oh and its only beta and it own norton anti virus lol. well if u want to ty it pm me and ill give ya the code gotta find it lol.
