need help finding a tv tuner card

im looking for a tv tuner card for my new pc im building so i can record cable ( non hd ) tv and video games onto my pc. but i cant find anything that will seem to work with vista and my new rig -

the problem is i cant find one that will fit basically. Im probably going to go sli ( 2 8800gts ) in the future and if i do then it wont all fit - ( sound card-tv tuner card - 2 8800gts ) in the MoBo im getting.most of the tv tuner cards are not vista compatible and the ones that are require a seperate sound card -But i am ( ? ) gonna use onboard sound from the above MoBo . Does anyone know what i need to do ? I dont want to have to give up the ability to SLI in order to get a tv card.. Does ANYONE know how to achieve this? I was thinking maybe a pci-e tv tuner for the xtra pci-e slot ( not 1 of the 2 for sli )on the above MoBo but i cant find one of those either really.
Maybe theres a TV card that im not seeing that doesnt need a sound card and will work with vista and my MoBo above but i cant find it and ive looked for a cpl days already.Can anyone help me ? i guess i could get a sound card if i HAD to if it would all fit and work w/ vista.

if i'm reading your post right, you would probably be better served going with usb if your motherboard expansion slots are experiencing technology sprawl.

that's the ONLY usb module i could find; with regard to "why can't i hardly find media hardware that supports Vista", see camperstrike's informative post on how Microsoft has intentionally broken third-party compatibility, ostensibly because they love you so much that they don't want you to suffer the evil temptation to record your video games:

There's a well known link detailing all the crap they did. Most notably, disabling unsigned kernel code. Pure ********, it gets bypassed every other week and by the time they patch out one, 2 more come along, and those are just the public ones.

...fit with 2 8800's sli'd in my MoBo above? It "Seem's" as though it would to me but... I have no idea if it will or not. Does anyone else?

i haven't upgraded to vista because then half of my system wouldn't work.

no love for the usb (or similar) device?

just curious, but why do you need a discrete sound card for vista + AV capture? something to do with that 8-pin-to-10 adapter?

iunno.. it just says a sound card is required.

would the usb one allow me to watch cable tv ( non digital ) and record tv and video gaming ( ps3 etc ) onto my pc? will it allow me to watch tv in a window? i cant find out those things about the usb one.

the one i posted above looks like it's digital tv only for broadcast channels.

this one would do all the other stuff you asked about, but to display rf channels you'd need to have it hooked up to a vcr+antennae via s-video/rca jacks. the resolution isn't as large, so you'd run the mpg from a window instead of full-screen.

surely some of the myis/total media hounddogs would have some better answers. ???

truthfully.... i would rather go with the sound card and pciex1 tuner if it will all work.
