    New Vid card

I just got a 8800 GTX and now my BF2 wont start up, it begins but after the title page with the BF2, nothing happens, no lock up or anything, just no BF2. I have the newest drivers so I dont know what the deal is.

its not that..i'm sure once i get his response i'll be able to tell him exactly what the problem is cause I'm sure of it already.

but sounds like the card is under powered...I've got one and its a monster on power consumption.

I seriously doubt that it's a PSU problem, maybe if his PC was restarting then yes.

i'm leaning towards that... but hey could be anything thats why I asked for more system specs.. even the OS he's trying to play on.

                1) Clean old Vid driver info out of your registry
                2) Fresh install new Vid drivers
                3) Check resolution and refresh rate for your monitor! If these are wrong you will just get a black screen!
                4) Delete BF2 folder with the old video setting information
                5) Restart computer
                6) Launch BF2
                7) Reset video settings for game....let it redo shading
                8) enjoy BF2
