    Normal GPU temperature?

I have the XFX nVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB DDR3 graphics card. Usually when I idle my temperature stays 52-56 Celcius, but then when I open up Battlefield 2 or any other game, it jumps up to 68-74 Celcius, is that a normal temperature for me while gaming? By the way, I didnt overclock my card or anything, its all default.

upper 70's is fine. mid eighties would indicate some sort of venting problem that would need to be addressed in the next year. upper nineties requires immediate correction.

Completely normal, nothing to worry about there.

60C-75C is normal for heavy load on the GPU!!! Unless you liquid cool your GPU, and then you can drop it into the high 50s. But don't worry those temps are normal, and if you want to drop it a bit lower, you can get a Zalman replacement GPU fan for the 8800 that is suppose to be awesome for overclocking the GPU!!!

Nope, thats perfectly fine. Most gpu's don't have a problem until 90c or higher, 80c is still within acceptable parameters.

ah, it may be fine, but it shouldn't honestly be running that high, surely to god?

I don't see why, mine can get up that high at full load and it's fine.
