I could run all high at 1280x1024 with aa, but with 2 gigs of ram.

At 1680x1050, I have to turn a few things down though.

Keep in mind , you go with the ATI 1950XT card plan on shelling out another $100 for a good power supply. You have a dell and the P.S. in that is probably a SH _T one. LOL good luck !!!!

Yeah well I have 2 512 MB RAM, so I should buy 2 1024 MB. My power supply is Antec True 380SP 380 W. So can I run all Medium-High or do I have to buy 2048 MB RAM?

That P.S. still won't cut it ,you need a minimum 450 watt for the 1950 card !

nah. hold it. that's a theoretical total of only 216W - ~15% efficiency...nope. I wouldn't ask ~190W to power everything on the +12v rail. just wouldn't do it.

you can have double the 18A rails (note: total appears to be ~33, not 36A) and active pfc for $30, after a $30 rebate. 3-year warranty and active pfc negate the worries I'd have about going with a "lesser brand".

bonus: the 12cm fan will be much, much quieter compared to the true380s

Would I see a big difference on playing if I change to GeForce 7600 GT 256 MB?

for minimal cost get the 7600GT 512MB 1 gig of ram should hold ya till ya buy another 1gig stick 2 gigz are best.

i used to have a 7300GT w/512mb it worked all high single player with hdr nd 4x AA online had to close a few stuff so it wont overheat but a 7600GT 512 should own bf2 in the face!!!

Okay. Also is it normal that Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB lags/freezes with Battlefield, or is it my other specs?
