So by x-mas im buying a 32in lcd for my room. I am going to hook it up to my computer. Now, i thought about it and i want to sale my 20in and use the 32in for my computer monitor. Now here is the kicker. I just bought an x0fi gamers sound card. It is great. I could return that and use that for a receiver. I forgot that my computer has a fiber optic port on the back and that i could hook up a receiver to it and use that for the computer and tv. I currently have a 3 year old logitech 5.1 system. my friend would buy those for $20. I can return the sound card for $80 and through my discount form working at best buy i can get a really nice receiver and 5.1 speakers for just about $250. So is this a dumb idea? It this works and what not, i think it would turn out pretty sweet. Thanks.
Its not dumb, though I would get dizzy looking at a 32" all the time.
