weird screen problems

When i restarted my computer the other day, it was working fine at first then when i clicked on an icon on my desktop, the font got bigger...then after a few minutes, the icon images disapeared...and so did my taskbar icons...wierd...

I think thers some weird thing going on with my computer, i sometimes rarely get something like the blue screen of death but it automatically restarts my computer...also getting lag spikes and slow internet...

Sounds like you been surfing on some naughty sites.

Do a virus/spyware scan.

Check the backround programs running to. Turn off all the excess user crap you have going affter bootup.

A good way to stop unwanted crap from starting on your bootup is

START > RUN > MSCONFIG

This will let you stop processes from turning on when your computer starts up. Basically you want to cruise in the two tabs furthest to the right - Services and Startup.

edit: ok but is that necessary? i mean the main problem with my computer is relatively slow internet and HORRIBLE lagspikes during games. is that caused by a virus?

Forget that, system restore is more than capable of being infected by virus and spyware. You're better hunting the problem down and killing it outright.

Spybot S and D is a good place to start. Failing that a Hjack This Log file posted on an appropriate website should yeild some results.

ok another huge annoying problem...LAGSPIKES...omfg i get them consistantly in every servers, it can rise up to about 700, very unstable...also slow internet. is that the internets fault? or messed up comp:dead:
