    Bf2 Specs

Why does everyone who replys to the threads that have people asking how good a pc will run bf2, allways say "oh upgrade it even more else you wont be able to play it with any decent settings"

what kind of nut case lie's are you lot on about? i have one of the lamest 2 year old piece of poo PC there is and i can play BF2 and other games flawlessly, so please dont think that you need a £1000 PC to play BF2, when i have a PC thats not worth £100 now, and i can play with all the settings in BF2 at high, and with 62 bots in game.

also not everyone has alot of money to spend on a PC...so saying "ahh yeeeeh man upgrade your 7900GTS to a 8800GTX and it will run perfectly" well of course it will but the price is sky high.

this thread was basicly kind of a rant to let the people know you dont need a brand spankin new **** polished pc with imported custom parts to run perfectly, you just need to keep the crap off of it... like spyware

    Re: Bf2 Specs

I think the reason is because a lot of times, people ask "Can I run this game on all high?" With a crappy computer, you can't. So, that is one of the reasons we tell people you need to upgrade, to play at the highest settings. If they ask if they can just play it at all, we don't tell them they have to upgrade if they don't want to play with all the eye-candy turned on.

i have a crappy pc lol and im running on all high, aa x 8, ds and dl on high...and no lag rofl, and my system only has 500mb of ram to spare since ive just turned it into a visual desktop instead of a gameing station..

      1.2Ghz amd athlon xp
      1gb kingston 133mhz ram
      nvidia geforce fx5700 le 256mb

also i find it more easy to spot a player with DS and DL on high, with low settings then on high, i dont know why but they stick out more in the fog of war..

        He is right.

We also get a lot of people saying "what do i need to play this game on high", which is where we jump in and start the recommending!

He's kinda correct. I know I could easily crank out more than playable FPS with eye candy on a 7300. Just have to go nuts with tweaking and overclocking.
