Hey guys, I posted about this a while back and here is the shizzel dizzel I can offer to those of you interested in this program offered by EVGA.
First off, let me just say how annoyed I am as it took nearly 2week me thinks for them to finally approve me. Why it took so long is because the people @ EVGA do not believe in picture viewing utilities that enable the zoom in feature. I ended up sending my receipts three times to them even though the second one was perfectly fine. Not to mention, the response time was horrible on the second time I sent them my receipt (almost a week) at which point I resent my my second e-mail again to them.
Basically, I had to e-mail them 4 times over the course of 2 weeks. Another crappy thing is that I wanted to talk to someone from EVGA over the phone first but couldn't find the line I wanted. After getting frustrated I gave up and just stuck to e-mailing.
Anyways, onto the actual step up part, the part I so far do not understand. I spent 750ish CDN on my GTX and right now can pick up an Ultra for less. However, apparently it will cost $78 more to upgrade this GTX to an ULTRA and with shipping it will be $93 bringing the final price tag to a total of $843 spent on the lone video card.
Well thats the deal. I'm not sure if it is really worth stepping up my card now seeing how the prices don't seem to add up right. Any thoughts?
