I wont be able to buy an expensive video card for crysis, I know I wanted the 640mb 8800 GTS but I realized all my PC funds have shrunk lol, so do you guys think if I buy the 320 mb version, I can get away with med in DX10??

Just save until it comes out. So far all DX10 cards haven't been able to play the compatible games and patches well. This could either be due to poor game programming and hardware compatibility, or the fact that there are more powerful cards to come when the games start to be released.
If you could save a bit more then you will be able to get a better card from a much wider range. I think some of the people who have bought these DX10 cards are a little worried that they are not going to cut it in games and that they are going to have to upgrade again.

Yup that's why I bought the 8800 GTS 320Mb version. I don't care about DX10 games I just wanted a card that will blitz any game that's avaliable just now and remember DX10 is still a small market most of the big name titles for the next year or so will have a DX9 counter part and Crysis is one of them. Hold off until you see what Crysis looks like under Dx9 then compare it to the Dx10 version and then deicde what to buy.I think some of the people who have bought these DX10 cards are a little worried that they are not going to cut it in games and that they are going to have to upgrade again.Comment

In your case i would say wait. By the time crysis is out there will be another price cut or two, then you can look at all the benchmarks and compare the 640 to the 320 and even the 8900 series when they eventually come out, then make a solid decision. Crysis will be the biggest thing to hit gaming since the original doom, it will be the benchmark of all benchmarks for the next 2 years, since NO current hardware can play it at max graphics.Comment
