okay, i can deal with that, especially since im gonna get another upgrade later on.....

one last question(sorry for nagging you), i can mix brands of ram, right? like the manufacturer of my current ram is "Nanya"...and im about to put Kingston in...

EDIT: also, since money allows it, would i be better off buying two sticks of 512 or 1 stick of 1gb?

Yes, mix as you like. The only thing is that certain brands are inferior to others, it's a tricky business. Just as long as the specifications match up, it's all good.

It depends on whether you will continually upgrade or not, if you plan to stick with 2GB for a while, get 2x512MB, otherwise get 1x1GB and another 1GB stick later on.
