I had a set of Speedlink Medusa's but they broke after 6 months

I now have a set of Zalman ZM-RS6F 5.1 surrounds, cracking bit of kit and cheap as chips too :yay:

    Have a look http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...tid=22&subcat=

i've got the zalman's, and i really like them. they aren't truly 5.1 (and I don't understand how they get away with saying that) because the bass line is cut in the headphones. as a result, you don't excellent crisp, directional sound, but the bass isn't...well, "thumpy". that's ok by me though; i'm saving my ears for old age.

Don't know what Zalmans you've got mate, but my ones ARE 5.1 :)
They have the plugs for front, rear and side (and one for mic) and have the actual speakers in the headset itself, so nothing is manufactured.

            Model: Zalman ZM-RS6F

Like I said, they have super directional sound (in my opinion, but sound is subjective), but lack dedicated bass output. You could:

            a) take my word for it

            b) open up your speakers and decide for your self
            or
            c) point your browser to:

"A fourth speaker dedicated to bass is missing, so the bass frequencies are integrally retransmitted via the three 40 mm wide speakers. It means that the bass redirection has to be deactivated from the sound card. So with this headphone the ".1" isn’t accurate. The ZM-RS6F is a 5.0 and not a 5.1 headphone"

p'raps they've revised it since i purchased mine 2 years ago? or perhaps you've got the ZM-RS6FM, which I would guess still has a 5.0 configuration?

              Soldering irons work wonders.
