Errr... I thought that would give you a DL...

Nonono.. All you need to do is DL the latest PB client software. I'll look again.

        EDIT:

Yeah all you had to do was click on downloads.

Its a lot faster than writing to them and waiting for a reply

        EDIT 2.

Wait, I think I read that wrong. Me jus woke up - my mistake.

Heh yeah what i did seems to be working.
(not being kicked or losing connection)

I take it i do the same for 2142 as well or is it a all in one meaning when i up date pb for bf2/does that update it for 2142 as well?

Allthough my damn pings been jumpy as hell for a while yesterday i called my ISP 3 diff times and about 4/5 hours apart from each call i had 3 diff techs on the line each time sayin all is good from what they can tell.

I have done some searching and seems im not alone in the random ping/lag spikes but no threads have had any helpful tips for me all drivers are updated
v scans(useing kaspersky and avg) and spy ware scans have been done all showing no threats so idk maybe it will become stable again some time soon

          Thanks again.

            So the Pb didn't help?

It's prolly cuz its the wkd dude and on top of that it is summer. More people play on the wkd causing more lag and what not. I usually play sun-thurs because all the little ones have to go to bed.

Yes the pb update helped with the not geting the kicks/problem with yor connection **** in game but the ping is off the charts goes from fairly low numbers and bounces to as high as 900 some times granted it does not stay there it just spikes and slowly drops again BUT let that happen a few times each round and alot of servers will boot me.

I share the connection but the other pc is hardly ever on and when it is i sure as hell dont play bf2 i may try playing some tfc or hl2 dm.

Right now i have the router unhooked and i am pluged rite into the modem
not much change at all if any it has not always been this way...maybe my **** town is over loaded and needs to do a upgrade on the isp side.

It was new around here when i got it and worked well but it is 6 years later and still only a sad 512kps cable connection.

Prolly too many people in your area are all on at once...

I'm not familiar with wireless connections so I can't help you there. My area on wireless is the real deal - Satelite and radio wave connections because thats what I play on. No help on the indoor stuffz sorry.
