wow so i was playing some BF2, got in the server, STARTING TO LAG LIKE CRAZY. when up to 200, 300, 900 ping. is that just bad internet? i do have wireless but i dont think anybody is stealing it. jeez

I'm on wireless too. It is a radio wave network that connects to a more powerful trans/reciever that uses a satelite from that point on...
Anyways, to the point - wireless performance is subject to the weather conditions. -

Make sure that your hard disk is well defragmented. This means using a dedicated defrag tool such as O&O Defrag.Comment

kk download that program. all you have to do is push the defragment computer button right....i dont want to mess stuff up
edit: ok i got the defrag done. i still think it's in crappy internet, the wireless signals are very inconsistant. and i usually end up getting only 36 mpbs...arg. take s a couple minutes to load everything up in a website.Comment

I was getting this too.
I was sitting on a Ping of 23 then everytime I went to shoot someone it jumped up to 200+. About 15 minutes in it resolved itself, weird!Comment

for some reason I get horrible lag spikes in CS too
very wierd since all my other games play fine :/
