The Asus P5B Deluxe or Asus P5K boards are brilliant overclockers and are recommended by both forums and magazines. They are relatively cheap, feature packed and don't have useless things such as SLI.

P5B Deluxe is easily the best.
The 680i is as good but why spend the extra cash for an SLI mobo if you're not going to run SLi?
The P5K is a false economy and is based around the principle that you're gonna want to run one of the new 775 CPUs at 1333Mhz FSB or DDR3 ram at any point in the near future.Comment

Firstly, i have never heard of that brand of PSU so i cannot comment. However, do not skimp on a PSU as they have the ability to completely destroy all of your hardware if they go wrong.
Secondly, that is a good motherboard, but personally i would look for something with the P965 chipset rather than the 650i as it is known to give better performance and overclockability.Comment

The only mobos I can personally vouch for are DFI. Every DFI board I have used or seen someone else use has been godly for overclocking. The problem is, the Expert is called that for a reason. It is not for the faint of heart. There are options on this thing I had trouble finding out about on Google, for christ's sake!Comment

Then I wouldn't advise going over to Overclockers UK's forums and reading the amount of folk that have had 580W Modualr Hipers go pop on them and taking hardware out with it.Firstly, i have never heard of that brand of PSU so i cannot comment. Personally, I wouldn't recommending getting any 680i or 650i any longer because they're old, and no longer the best at overclocking. Hell what did you think they lowered the prices? So currently, the best overclocking motherboard would have to be the one that supports Intel P35 Chipset, like the Gigabyte-P35, or Gigabyte-P35C.Comment

Yeah I have one two, must say I was a little disconcerted when I was reading post after about these units dying and taking hardware with them. At one point I thought I might even buy a new Corsair unit but then I saw some figures that show in reality (compared to how many have been sold) the failure rate is no greater than any other PSU maker.
Plus I read that Hiper are obliged to replace damaged hardware that is taken out by one of their units if you can prove that the unit was installed by a professional. I am a fully trained and qualified computer builder so I am good.Comment

Wow, i never knew they did that kind of warranty! I bought one cos it performed well, looked good and was designed in good old blighty.
