I'm looking for some recommendations on a quality gaming headset. Money is not really an issue. Sound and mic quality is most important.

what soundcard option are you running? onboard sound (2ch, 5.1, 7.1?) or a pci soundcard?
Do you want 2ch headphones, or surround sound ones?
what is your budget? If no pci soundcard, can you afford one of them at same time? (x-fi gives nice sound and reduces stress on your CPU to provide the sound in most models) You might want to stick your region in your profile so people can at least recommend some online sellers as well as recommending brand/models -

Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer 7.1 running 5.1 and yes surround would be nice in a headset. I'm in Phoenix, USA and do most of my shopping at newegg.Comment
