I'm really trying to figure this one out. Is it meant to be funny or just to make a point? Only thing weird is the size of the middle east and tibet but I couldnt do it better myself...

A little bit of both. I thought it was a refreshing counter to the often so posted (not necessarily here, but I've seen them here too) "How American's View the World" or whatnot images. Although I doubt I could probably do quite as well myself, actually (although probably quite a bit better with Africa :p) It's been years since I've studied geography.
