Those were nothing extraordinary by far. The one with the kid wouldn't sound quite so impressive if he didn't have a double bass pedal. Also he was constantly changing tempo. Skip back and forth a between on the track, you'll notice how much he keeps shifting in tempo. He could never make it in a band like that being that unsteady. Rhythm is key as a drummer, not hitting the most things the fastest with your sticks.

The first one was actually pretty good though. He knows what he's doing and has MUCH better rhythm and timing.

That said, I know at least 5 drummers personally who could play just as well or better off the top of my head, so probably not the best drum solos ever...

The kid was just showing off... Someone of that level could probably keep a beat for hours if he wanted to...

And the guy had good rhythm but what he was doing requires much less practice than what the kid was doing, namely because he wasn't using any kind of bass pedal.

Doesn't matter how fast you can play or how much you're trying to show off if you can't hold a steady rhythm.

The other guy was by far a superior drummer. Adding a drum pedal doesn't make drumming that much harder. I'm sure that guy knows his way around a traditional drum set too.

yea, if you're in a band. Hes just sitting out there on the street, he can do whatever the heck he wants haha.

The other guy was using two hands... I can use two hands to make a cool beat on a table if I wanted to, anyone could. He just practiced the wrong way to play drums for a long time and came out with something that sounds cool. Its definitely much harder to do three different things with two hands, and two legs, then just do two things with two hands.
