I always thought these pictures with a thick black outline, picture in the middle and a funny caption underneath were an internet only trend, but I recently seen one in a film. "The Terminal", it's in the guys office.
The ones in offices are the original thing which are "motivational". They have silly comments like "never let go of your dreams", then it'll have a picture of something random like a crab on a beach :p
