burned dvds skipping

i use to have a memorex dvd burner max speed was 16x that burned over 100 movies perfectly fine. i used memorex 16x rated blank dvds. so i decided to upgrade and i bought this

almost every movie i burned on it skipped in the middle towards the end of the movie like it was pause for a while. so i went out and bought a new memorex 20x burner. it started skipping a lil but it wasnt as bad as the lite on burner i then put the original dvd in and so far it played fine on my tv dvd player. could it be the dvds are not handling the 20x burn? i also have always used the newest dvd shrink and never had any problem with anything til i got the new drives.

Try a different brand of dvd's, i find infinity to be good.

agreed...slowing down the burn speed will probably take care of the problem....I usually burn at 4x....takes longer but i never have skipping issues

to an all night burn and then get more and its a burn center

yea i will try to get the speed down to 16x i use to burn at 16x and never had a problem i just gotta figure out how. dvd shrink only lets me go to 8x mayb ill try nero again later.

dvd shrink only lets me go to 8x mayb ill try nero again later

DVD Shrink uses Nero by default without opening Nero, so just lower the default burn speed in Nero before using DVD Shrink.
