    big drama's

    hey guys,

Ok, i have just upgraded my monitor from a 17" CRT, to a 32" LCD. my problem is, when i go to start BF2, it goes black for a few seconds, then does nothing, and goes back to desktop. i have reinstalled and patched 2 times, updated the video drivers, and deleted any secruity updates the may hamper operation. i have heard that there is a folder in the BF2 diagnostics that alters the refresh rate of the game..any help would be great appreciated.

if you know how to make this work for me, or have anything tips for me to try, it would be great appreciated, you can email me at cheese_10000@hotmail.com

    Thanks again in advance.

P.S. i am australian so i think the standard refresh rate is 50?

ok, i have recently fixed the previous problem by changing the video.CON file in defult profiles. the into runs beautifully...but a new issue has arissen. ones i get to the log in screen (username and password) it starts to log in, then just goes dead and crashes to desktop, will there be somthing i need to change for this?

        Thanks.

Did you edit your target line too in BF2 properties? Is your refresh rate at what your monitor can handle?

I get a lot of problems too when I am playing in those settings, though it may not be the best advice but just continue to search in that area of folders for another .con file. There should be another vid file and try editing that one too. For some reason, after I played with mine, everything started to work.

Try running it in 800x600@60 maybe? Just to see if it will...

          EDIT.

I had to mess around a lot with a 50" lcd screen to get it going. You maye have to go at a resolution of 1024x768 or w/e it is... That res that is around that area because thats what my 50" tv would allowe me. Anything more and it too, crashed to desktop.
