If they are what I think they are, being lithium ion batteries, there is only one proper way to charge them.

You must use them until they are drained and then fully recharge them at least 5-10 times to maximize battery life. After that I recommend you continue doing that but you don't have too. The battery life gets less over time regardless of how well you try to take care of them.

For best preservation, do what I stated above and you should be happy.

They don't automatically stop charging after? Usually the device will stop charging once they are done. Maybe you should read the instructions that came with the mouse.

I don't know if it matters or not if they are being charged for the whole duration while your sleeping. I'm more so surprised they don't stop charging after a certain point... Every rechargable battery I used does with an exception for one which was at the fualt of a cheaply made battery charger device =/. I wouldn't imagine it being a problem though as long as your fully drained that battery.

Well like i said dude, drain that baby until she is dead at least 5-10 x and then recharge. If you want to prolong your battery life as long as possible, this is the way. This is exactly what I do for my Mp3 player (Creative 30GB Vision: M). After time you may take short cuts (charge when one bar is left) like I do with my cell phone, but it still lasts up to 3-4 days sometimes because I did that initial process in the beginning.

I know it is probably hard for you because its your mouse but thats exactly the reason I started to stay away from remot mice/key boards.
