Well since motherboards isn't my specialite I need some help, since the price of the q6600 is coming to the price of the e6600 i was persuaded to be adventurous and go with the q6600, my question is that will this mb be able to cope with a quad? - > http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/125082

Spend an extra £10 or so and get an awesome Lanparty, that has many more USB, Sata ports and other features than that. Otherwise, personally i dont think the Mobo makes much difference to whether a quad core is useful. Its the components that depend as to whether a quad core will perform to its maximum.

knee-jerk would be that a 680i lt would be a better board than a 650i.

going to have to read up some more on the chipset. looks interesting though; maybe enough of a reason for me to ebay my 965p board when the q6600 and get one myself.
