Well, As my other thread explains I cant play some of my fave games


Should I just go back to XP??



Vista is an extremely over - organized O/S which is a piece of GFX - improved Sh*t.

All Microsoft do is muck games up, and make your screen look more flashy. Vista cost 89 quid and it's not worth it. If I do choose to go back to XP, I can just switch back with no additional costs right?

Can you not play them in compatibility mode?
I admit that I've only got BF2 on my PC at the moment, but that runs just fine on Ultimate 32 bit :)

I tried Compatability mode. I want to play my second fave game (Excluding bf2) Heavy Gear 2

On the Demo, I can get up to the launch screen. The error message in another thread of mine shows up

At the moment, Vista is crap.

Go for XP, 2000 or Redhat.

Fair enough. But for the time being I'd like it if my games worked.. Unless you can help me to get this one work

Vista is not crap, I run BF2 just fine with it. As far as other games go, you should be able play them in compatibility mode. I understand not being able to play them anymore, I have some like that. I even have some old DOS games I used to play the heck out of. But, I moved on. Personally, I think going back to XP, is a step backwards ...your call of course.

After seeing all the problems you've had, I recommend you stop using computers.

This thread is going to be one giant flamefest, so I think I'm going to stop it before it starts.
