Hamachi Problem !!

ok i know how to work hamachi and i CAN GET it working with command and conquer zero hour , and c&c 3..

but when i make a server on hamachi, my friend joins, we open battlefield 2, i create a LOCAL server...once its loaded he CANT find it under join local ???? i dont have a firewall i dont have a virus scanner etc...

can any1 help me please ??

Question - Why are you using Hamachi on BF2?

i bought bf2 as a matter of fact, its so me and a couple my m8s can just play around..

So you dont get random people joining.

I have that problem too, try pinging people on the Hamachi server, if you get a response, ask that person to host the server and if you don't then they shouldn't host it.

I can't host it because some people can't join, i've still not found a proper solution.

ok host manually? well if u mean host an internet server i dont wanna pay lol

and locally.. cuz he is not in my house! hence the reason we are tryin to use hamachi...i mean, i create a server.. he joins to me through hamachi, then when we create a local game...it doesnt show up under join local

Create your own server using your connection then? Set a password and you'll get no random people, and you'll get lower pings.

Whats wrong with using Hamachi. We use it all the time to host servers, and quite often you get better pings and its quick and easy.

ok..sorry for sayin this but i know how to work hamachi...i have used it playin ZERO hour etc..... but what my PROBLEM IS. is that when i create a LOCAL server on bf2............it does NOT show up unde JOIN LOCAL for my friend.. AND vice versa

Sorry that I cannot help your problem with Hamachi but a suggestion is that you go to Create Local (without hamachi running) and finish loading ur map (make sure to put a password) and then give your friend your IP and password.. It works.

this is the fix.

-In the resent hamachi update they made it so you have to do this in bf2

1.Open up hamachi, wright down the number ontop (the ip)

2.Open up bf2

3.Start up ur local server

4.Tell your friends the ip you wrote down and tell them to click on connect to ip, type in the type or copy and paste, voila.

Whats wrong with using Hamachi. We use it all the time to host servers, and quite often you get better pings and its quick and easy.

Look, quit badgering and help or leave. The VPN wouldn't have better stability, especially with more than 1 or 2 people.

Stupid pointless questions:
Are your friends logged on?
Are they running the same BF2?
Are you actually setting the server up right? :P
You don't block connections to your VPN?
Your friends are doing the right thing?
