Any one playing with satellite internet from disc network thats my olny option where im moveing to im just wondering how fast it is and if it drops out in bad weather ?

I play with a satelite connection and I think the lowest ping I had was 24 or around that general area. Ping is very low when you go to good servers - I also like to play on a lot of german servers and I'm never higher than 170. I don't play on many 64 player servers but they are the same deal - 32/64 all the same pings in terms of locations.Originally posted by camaro_84 View Post
As for weather, yes it will have an effect on your connection to a degree. Heavy rain storm you may as well run around in the rain or play solitair buddy. Thick clouds passing by in clumps, you will know everytime one goes by. The worse is when its clear out and your connection is down - Though I think thats more of an ISP issue than weather.
I think my connection is 512/128 up/down. DL/Xfer speeds I can get as high as 130 kbs and well, dead slow depending on location B's speed. Avg 60 kps.
