Sorry I didn't think about these ahead of time and posted them with my SLI question... Oh well, here we go.
Intro: I hooked up my computer to my moms 50" lcd widescreen tv last week. I was able to go through HDMI/HDTV/RGB ports. However, the screen was messed up by means of being cut off or would not run a higher resolution. The only port that worked was the RGB which was a VGA port. But it too had its problems - the max res was 1024x768 or along those lines and anymore I continued it would be cut off the screen.
a) I was wondering if thats a vedio card or a tv screen issue?
b) If its a video card issue, than I should think about getting another GTX right?
c) Before I go into SLI, I can use my step up program and trade my GTX in for an Ultra. Would this be the best course for me?
d) more so an outburst of anger but the GTX/OC/Ultra/Superclocked/XXX (XFX made a card called XXX... yeah O_o) all look the exact same from a physical appearance. So what makes there clocks tick faster than the other? is it something like cpus with locked multipliers asides from the extreme varients?
Either way what I don't understand is why Nvidia writes a program that you can use (performance tuning or something - in the Nvidia Control panel) to clock you card higher though it will not actually let you. In fact, all it does is take you to a black screen and does nothing. I'll sit here for about 5 minutes before my patience runs thin and hit the reboot button...
