    SLI mode Q

    Was just wondering about this...

If I use a 8800 gtx card - 1.8 ghz 1300mhz shader 575 mhz sumthen else (just trying to name off the numbers - not sure if they are right) and want to go into SLI mode - Do I have to buy the exact card?

If I don't, my next Q is - Would my slower card affect the performance of the faster card? IE GTX + ULTRA in SLI.

      1. It has to be the same core. A gtx may be almost identical to an ultra, but I doubt it'll work.

      2. They will run at the same speed of the slowest card.

It has to be the same model ie 8800gtx if you put in a ultra or a overclocked card both cards will run at the same speed as the slowest card

An Ultra will work with a GTX because they are the same core, but it will require you to manually underclock it to the speed of the lowest core.
