    what should i get?

Ok i have some cash right now,260$ of it,im wondering if i should buy a new cpu because my current mobo doesnt overclock at all(no vcore adjustment) OR buy a mobo which supports overclocking,i also would want the motherboard priced around 150 since i need to pick up a gig of ram anyways.

gonna look around on the egg,any suggestions are greatly welcomed.

      Obligatory 680i for $160:

For cheap, I've heard good things about these gigabyte 965p's, too:

then a new cpu is absolutely NOT neccesary. Going for a new mobo is the far better choice!

doesn't really matter. you're not going to find a better performing and better o'cing board than that 680i at the $150 price point.

            SLI is just gravy.

Yeah, SLI is a waste of money at this point unless you have an uber monitor and cash to burn. A single 8800GTS is better than ANY SLI solution that costs less.

funny, I have a 8800 GTX and someone has 2x 8800 gts in SLI mode and got ablmost 5k more points than I in 06benchmark.

Then again, like said above, SLI isn't really nessecary right now hence why I bought a uber card for now - when its had its time dun da da dunnnn SLI MODE ACTIVATED!!! Lol

The motherboard is the heart of your system. Get a new good one and be happy with it.
