G5 Logi mouse - road kill

For all the g5 users out there....

How often do you have to replace you G5?

I'm on my second G5 with in a year and am about to go on my 3rd. My last g5 I bought in march, according to my recp 03/18/07. Unfortunately I didn't get the extended warranty again on it, next time I know better..

I think both had the same problem, the button to change the dpi's fails. Right now it keeps going to the highest level (2000 dpi) and will not go down.

Only time I like that setting is for flying the attack choppers...

This sucks. Why can't you just open the mouse up? it's probably something so simple to fix too... And I gotta spend at least 45 bucks for a new one now... Or how about futureshop? 90 bucks for a new one, 100 after tax? lol... at least its a 3 year warranty though I guess???

All mice should have a years manufacturers warranty. Same with any hardware. Its the law!

Have you contacted Logitech? I had my 1st Mx510 for two months before the left button crapped out. I called them up and explained the situation, they asked for only my serial number, where I got it, and where to send a new one. I had the new one in my hands in two days. That experience is why I will ALWAYS buy Logitech mice.

really? I was looking on both the g5 boxes I have (still have em both as if I bought em yesterday) for some kind of warranty info. I couldn't find anything though, but I'll look again.

If I can't find the number, want to send it my way? :)

The serial number is on the bottom of the mouse.

Hmm... I think I've soon had my G5 in a year. And I love it, nothing fails, it's flawless and it has a wonderful feeling.

              It is a great mouse

My first one, the scroll wheel started to change. By that, the sensitivity of it was not what it use to be. So I'd have to scroll up or down one click two clicks maybe three clicks until my gun will change to a nade or something. In the middle of a fire fight I'd often be madly spinning it looking for my gun! Lol.

Now the dpi decrease button is a goner... I'm sitting here on hold right now actually. When will they just say, Ok! We have a new one for you!!!??? o_0

Bro they are on sale at www.canadacomputers.com or look around for on-line stores. They are much cheaper than futureshop.

Yes, I know, I h8 futureshop and I bought my entire computer from canadacomputers and built it myself minus the vid card (tigerdirect.ca) and mouse/keyboard also from tigerdirect.

I'm pretty sure I said I could get it cheap for 40 bucks but clearly I'm running through my G5's fast so a warranty packed G5 is ideal for me.

Anyways, it's good now. They come with a 1 year warranty by logi and I should get my new one via mail in 7-10 buisiness days.

Special thanks to jim and alex for your comments
