    Is this a good PC?

I have $2100 to blow [literally to blow] and I jumped onto Dell.com to search for a gaming LAPTOP, yes LAPTOP. I already have TWO gaming PC's {Shut up >_>] so I wanted a good laptop so when i go on the road or to a friends house: LAN party! Lol, so I decided to look at Dells gaming laptops and I decided on the XPS M1210. The specs are as follows:

    PROCESSOR - Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7200 (2.00GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 667 MHz FSB)
OPERATING SYSTEM - Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium
    MEMORY - 1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz (2 Dimms)
HARD DRIVE - Speed: 100GB SATA Hard Drive (7200RPM)
OPTICAL DRIVE - 24X CD Burner/DVD Combo Drive
    VIDEO CARD - 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 7400 TurboCache™
SOUND OPTIONS - Integrated Sound Blaster® Audigy™HD Software Edition

In total the price is $1,826.16 [including shipping and crap, I hate that >_<] So any opinion on this rig is very well appareciated.

I just want to know basically if BF 2 will run on it! lol. Maybe some Halo...and CoD....and...well...you get the point.

EDIT: I found an Alienware laptop, check it out and lemme know aight?

Well, i know in person that exact laptop cause my friend has it and personally i think it is ok but not that hot, the graphics card is meh. but you cant get anything bigger in there i guess, but seriously a 12.1" screen wont compliment the lappy while playing games because it is just to small in my opinion, i would go with alienware.

Yea, you could probably do with another 1gb memory, and at least a Nvidia Go7600 or 7700

Both those laptops would run excel at +300fps.

BF2 bits and bytes would choke those two cards, and then spit on their wretched corpses.

And BF2 is a two year old game.

              lol. exactly.

I bought a $300 compaq evo n610c on ebay last october. 2.0ghz, 1gb ram, big, beautiful screen, and a 30gig hd, and it weighs ~4.0lbs. It gets business done like nobody's business. :)

When I go on trips with only my lappy for my gaming/dvd fix, I suck it up and play Civ III at 9000fps or Morrowind at 20fps or Return of the Evil Dead in highish-res, and save the other $1800 for retirement, so I won't have to eye my 60 year old ooober laptop one day when I'm older than freakin' dirt and wonder if $2100 worth of silicon, plastic, and aluminum is edible if you stew it with 'taters.

'cuz I'm already aware the answer is no.

Well I'm not a laptop fan so I don't really pay attention. Was simply stating that owning a laptop to play BF2 is over priced vs your desktop but you want a laptop so I guess you gotta be prepared to throw out some dollars.

I'd look at Canadacomputers.com. They offer very competitive prices in my area and that may aid you with your search. Try ebay?
